CII Western Uttar Pradesh Annual Day Lemon Tree Hotel, Ghaziabad

A Session on “Ease of Doing Business in Uttar Pradesh” on the occasion of Annual Day of Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Western Uttar Pradesh was organized by CII on 18th February’ 2015 at Lemon Tree Hotel, Ghaziabad. Dr. Sahab Singh, Assistant Professor, Department of Management Studies, Mr. Lokendra Kumar Yadav, student of MBA 1st year and Mr. Chitwan Dhulia, student of Mechanical Engineering 3rd year from Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida attended the Annual Day.
The objective of this meet was to discuss the core issues and best practices for enabling a business friendly regulatory environment in Western part of Uttar Pradesh by inviting eminent academicians, secretarial staff and industrialists for a high level interaction.
Session 1: Inaugural Session
Mr. Prateek Garg, Chairman - CII Western UP Zonal Council inaugurated session by extending his heartfelt wishes to distinguished guests, delegates and audience for being there. He stated that CII needs to push the reforms towards the local administrative body.
Mr. Shreekant Somany, Deputy Chairman - CII Northern Region expressed his sincere thanks to CII Western Uttar Pradesh for organizing this event and spreading awareness about Industrial Policies of UP Government to invite new investors and to retain the existing in power and energy sector for a sustainable economic development of the state in all spheres, in his key address.
Mr. Mukund Vasudevan, Vice Chairman - CII Western UP Zonal Council shared his experience with audience. He said that UP Government is conscious to make its policies rational and effective, working energetically to ensure a competitive and better infrastructure for doing business by offering much to its economic development. Further he added that CII Western UP whole-heartedly welcomes all startups and industrialists to support in all kind of matters concerned with investment in the state.
Session 2: Panel Discussion
Mr. Amit Dutta, Director of Ernst & Young put emphasis on the selection of best practices in ease of doing business by bringing favorable reforms in order to help in attracting business in the state to overcome the current obstacles.
Mr. Alok Agarwal, Executive Vice President of M/s. Jakson Group believed that state government must focus on improving the basic infrastructure and application of GST which can play a great role and make a difference to the business across nation.
Business representatives, policymakers and audience had a discussion regarding all new opportunities for a fruitful business in Western Uttar Pradesh. It was concluded that state can attain the desired goals of growth and development in all spheres if the business friendly regulatory environment is created with a positive mindset of the people.
The event came to an end with closing remarks of Mr. Garg followed by high network lunch.
