Seminar on Cryptography

Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering, Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida organized a Seminar on Cryptography on 19th February, 2015. The resource person for the lecture was Dr. Indivar Gupta, Scientist E, Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO).
The program started with the introduction of resource person to audience by Dr. Sarika Agarwal, Assistant Professor, DGI, Greater Noida and his floral welcome by Prof. S.K. Bagga, Director, DGI, Greater Noida. The Honorable Director, with his motivational words, advised the students to take advantage of the occasion to attain and share practical knowledge on Cryptography.
Dr. Indivar Gupta started the session with the basics of cryptography and different algorithms based on it. He emphasized the need and use of cipher text and explained some algorithms to convert plain text to cipher text. He went on to explain the E0 algorithm used by Bluetooth transfer in converting plain text to cipher text. He also discussed public key cryptography and different algorithms based on it with real life examples.
During the question answer session, a series of questions were asked from the participants. The part of the lecture was lively and interactive.
The expert lecture came to an end with the Vote of Thanks by Dr. Sarika Agarwal. Prof. B. L. Kaul, Registrar, DGI, Greater Noida presented the memento to the resource person.
