Paper Presentation in Technical Fest Cognizance

At IIT Roorkee

24th - 26th March 2023

Two teams from the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida attended Technical Fest “Cognizance” hosted by IIT Roorkee from 24^th - 26^th March, 2023. The technical fest served as an international platform for students worldwide to showcase innovative ideas, projects, and models while promoting skills to reach new heights.

The fest features numerous events and workshops, including IDEAZ (a paper presentation event on various ideas), SKY HIGH (an   aero   development   event), ARMAGEDDON   (a   robotic   combat championship), TECHZIBITION (a   technological   exhibition), and BLOCATHON (a hackathon based on web 3)

 First Team of students namely Abhishek Kumar (15494) and Aniket (15499) of Mechanical Department registered for the IDEAZ event, and presented a paper in the category “Water Resource Development and Management” under the theme "Understanding the potential of nature-based solutions for wastewater treatment to improve water availability in the rural sector." The event had three rounds, including abstract and full paper submissions, and after successfully clearing both rounds, team presented their paper titled "A sustainable approach for wastewater reuse system" in the third round in front of an expert team.

The second team consisting of students Kaushal Jha (14281), Akshaj Jumde (14260), and Abhishek Kumar (15494) participated in the "TECHZIBITION" event, a technological exhibition that attracts bright minds from all around the world to showcase their models, ideas, and projects. The event comprised two rounds, namely abstract submission and exhibition. After clearing the first round, team presented their project idea titled "Design and development of portable spot welding for small-scale industry." An expert team of four members evaluated their idea and interacted with the group to assess the applicability of the developed project.

Certificate of participation was given to all the attendees. Overall, students gained lot of knowledge through the fest.
