Summer Training Program 3d Printing Technology
                17th July – 21st July 2017

Summer Training Program on 3D Printing Technology was conducted at Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida from 17th July to 21st July 2017. Students from IV Semester Mechanical Engineering Branch participated in the program. The Training Program was conducted by Mr. Gaurav Siwal, Assistant Professor, Mechanical Engineering Department.
 Day 1: 17th July 2017
Participants were introduced and briefed about the workshop. Basic topics like Theory of 3D printing, FDM and utilization of 3D printing and manufacturing Industry were covered on the first day.
 Day 2: 18th July 2017
On the next day, participants were briefed about Advancement in 3D printing, working of 3D printing and a Demonstration of 3D printing technology.
 Day 3: 19th July 2017
On the third day sketching in CATIA, Part modeling in CATIA and saving of files in .stl extensions were studied.
 Day 4: 20th July 2017
On fourth day converting file from .stl to .gcode using slicing software, calibration and taking print on 3D printer was performed by the participants.
 Day 5: 21st July 2017
On last day the participants were given a practice problem in which they had to design a 3D model on CATIA and print it on 3D printer. The participants designed and printed the 3D model of a pump impeller successfully. The workshop was very informative and participants learned the concept of rapid prototyping and 3D printing.
