Summer Training on "Android"
17th - 22nd July, 2017
Summer Training on "Android Application" was organized at Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida during 17th to 22nd July, 2017. Dr. Somnath Sinha, Assistant Professor, Department of CSE, DGI, Greater Noida conducted the Training Program. 27 students had registered for the training program out of which 16 successfully completed the course.
The objective of the training was to train the participants on:
- Mobile computing
- Build Real Mobile Application
The session started on 17th July, 2017 with the discussion on android platform architecture and various API levels of Android. The students learned the installation including JAVA. They built their first APP in the emulator.
During the training, students learned:
- Basic user interface building block
- Layout design
- Activity and intents
- Menus- App bar with option menu
- Working with style and themes
- Exception handling
- Permissions and http connection
Mock test was conducted on the final day. Useful links were delivered to the participants for future reference. Overall the session was successful.
