"Universal Human Values & Professional Ethics"

Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU), Lucknow organized a Faculty Development Program on "Universal Human Values Professional Ethics" from 4th – 11th July 2017 at NIET, Greater Noida. Ms. Monika Sinha, Department of Management Studies, Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida attended the FDP as a participant.

Day 1: 4th July 2017

The FDP was inaugurated by Dr. Ajay Kumar, Director, NIET on 04/07/2017.

Dr Ritu Soryan, Convener of the Program welcomed the Resource Person Prof. Gopal Babu, participants and the guests.

Prof. Gopal Babu highlighted the difference between studying value education and studying moral science. In moral science we study do’s and don’ts about the conduct of life, but in human values we study about our natural acceptance and try to bridge the gap between what I am? And what I want to be?

Dr. Ajay Kumar shared his views on the need of human values in day to day life.

In the next session Prof. Gopal Babu discussed the course content and stated that everything in the seminar is a proposal and need to be verified on the basis of natural acceptance.

The last session of the day was a group discussion on "Natural Acceptance".

Day 2: 5th July 2017

Prof. Babu discussed the concept of "Harmony". He stated that Human body is a coexistence of both body and self. Self is composed of trust, respect etc. and body requires food, shelter, clothes etc. Self requires continuous, qualitative happiness and body requires quantitative physical facilities which lead to temporary happiness.

Day 3: 6th July 2017

Prof. Babu elaborated the concept of "Harmony in Family". He described the 9 feelings for good relationship.

  1. Trust(viswas)
  2. Respect(samman)
  3. Affection(sneh)
  4. Care(mamta)
  5. Guidance(vatsalya)
  6. Reverence(shraddha)
  7. Glory(gourav)
  8. Gratitude(kritagyata)
  9. Love(prem)

Day 4: 7th July 2017

Prof. Babu shared his views on "Human Target".

  1. Right understanding Right Feeling
  2. Prosperity in every family
  3. Fearlessness in society
  4. Co-existence in nature/existence

The entire day was dedicated to the above concepts of harmony in society and human system.

Day 5: 8th July 2017

Prof. Babu discussed the theory of Ethical Human Conduct. He stated that the right understanding gained through self - exploration enables us to identify the definitiveness of human conduct which may also be called the ethical human conduct. It is same for all human beings.

Day 6: 9th July 2017

Prof. Babu discussed the way of choosing right path in life. He further stressed that "Right Understanding" is the key to decision making process. 

Day 7: 10th July 2017

Prof. Babu focused on the four orders of the nature:

  1. Material Order (Temporary, Recognizing, Fulfilling)
  2. Pranic Order (Recognizing, Fulfilling)
  3. Animal Order (Knowing, Assuming, Recognizing Fulfilling)
  4. Human Order (Knowing, Assuming, Recognizing Fulfilling)

He conducted a sharing session with the participants on the topic "Self Exploration".

Day 8: 11th July 2017

Valediction Ceremony was held on 11th July 2017. The participants gave their suggestions and feedback for the workshop. Certificates were awarded to the participants.
