The finals of MSIT-IEEE Technical Project Exhibition 2018 organized by Maharaja Surajmal Institute of Technology, New Delhi was held on 10th March 2018. TPE-2018 was a platform for the budding engineers across India to showcase their work in front of experts from renowned industries and academia, and get recognition for the same.
The project “Smart Wheel Chair” developed by students Abhishek Thakur, Rati Kumari Jha and Shweta Pathak, from Computer Science Engineering stream of Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida, under the guidance of Ms. Monu Singh was submitted for the TPE-2018.
The screening of all entries was done in the following phases :
Round 1 (Screening): Students had to register and submit a short abstract of their project, which was shortlisted by the Professors of Maharaja Surajmal Institute of Technology on the basis of innovative ideas.
Round 2 (Ascent): Selected teams were invited to MSIT campus where the team had to deliver a presentation and convince the esteem panel of judges that their work was worth a demo. Selected teams from this round proceeded to final round.
Round 3 (Zenith): Teams making to this final round got an opportunity to demonstrate their project and the winners of TPE 2018 was then declared.
DGI entry “Smart Wheel Chair” was shortlisted in the first two rounds. In the Grand Finale held on 10 March 2018 at MSIT Janakpuri, the project won the 3rd Position. Along with the Appreciation Certificate. The three projectees also won the cash prize of Rs. 2500.
The Final demonstration was judged by EmTech Product and Training Manager Mr. Bhim Chand Bhardwaj and CEO Mr. Naveen Kumar.
