Annual Sports Meet 2018
16th - 17th March, 2018
DGI Annual Sports Meet 2018 was held on 16 - 17 March 2018 in the college campus.
The event was inaugurated by Hon’ble Director, Prof. (Dr.) Ashish Soti on 16 March 2018. Through his motivational speech he laid emphasis on discipline and sportsmanship in sports. He said that it is not only winning which is important, even loosing teaches us how to overcome lacuna.
The inaugural speech was followed by Oath Ceremony. Participants vowed to display true sportsman spirit during the event.
On the first day, knock-out matches were held. A few finals of the indoor games, Carrom, Pool, Table Tennis, Chess, etc. were also held. Rangoli competition was also held on the first day. Hon’ble Director, Prof. (Dr.) Ashish Soti awarded the winners.
On the second and final day, 17 March 2018, the final matches of cricket, volleyball and badminton were played.
While presenting the awards to the winning teams, Dr. Soti appreciated the zeal and spirit shown by the participants during the Meet.
Mr. Prassan Shrama, Coordinator of the Sports Meet proposed the Vote of Thanks. He thanked the participants, faculties and the entire DGI family for their active role during the Meet and their efforts in making it a very successful event.
