MANTHAN (Debate Contest)

Jaipuria  School of Business (JSB), Indirapuram organised "Dr. Rajaram Jaipuria Memorial Debate" under the title 'Manthan: Churn Your Mind' on 9th  and 10th of February, 2018. It was a two - day event that saw a  participation of more than 62 teams from around 52 different colleges in Delhi  NCR. The Preliminary Round was conducted on 9th February while the final round  was on 10th February 2018.
The topics for the Preliminary round and the Final  round were "Can India be a Developed Nation by 2022" and "Role  of Youth in Building New India", respectively. 
 DGI students, Apoorva  Srivastava (CSE-A), Harjeet Singh (CSE-A),Pushkar Yadav(CSE-B) and Vidit  Mishira (CSE-B)  participated in the competition. 
 The  Director, JSB, Dr. SK Mahapatra welcomed the Guest and the participants to the  event. Sh. Malhotra, in his address, urged the youth of today to channelize  their potential towards building a New India. 
 The  participants, armed with statistics and data made their arguments more emphatic  with their righteous facial expressions, body movement and gestures. Out of a  pool of more than 62 teams ten teams were selected for the Final round. All the  members of the Jury unanimously agreed to the fact that the speakers were very  articulate and emphatic and making the final decision was really a herculean  task. 
 The  Guest of Honour, Mr. Verma applauded the speakers for their very relevant views  and enthusiasm with which they expressed their views. The Chief-Guest, in his  address, urged the participants to keep up the spirit and highlighted the need  to change our very basic attitude and mind-set if we really want India to  become a developed nation. Dr. SK Mahapatra, Director, JSB congratulated the  participants for their efforts and commitment. 
 Every participant got a certificate  of participation and refreshment. The competition came to an end with the prize  distribution ceremony and the Vote of Thanks.
