AI Workshop Build Your Own Generative AI Model

CSI Student Chapter, Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida organized a workshop on “AI Workshop Build Your Own Generative AI Model” on 14^th April 2023. 79 students attended the workshop. Mr. Gurpreet Singh (Team Lead- Hellotia Pvt. Ltd.) was the resource person of the workshop.  Ms. Nandini Tomar coordinated the workshop.

The objective of the workshop was to provide students with a hands-on understanding of Generative AI and its practical applications.

The event began with a welcome address by Dr. Bipin Pandey, followed by an introduction of the resource person, Mr. Gurpreet Singh. He started the session by providing an overview of Generative AI, explaining its foundations, working principles, and its applications in various fields such as image generation, natural language processing, and content creation.

Mr. Singh further guided students through the process of building a Generative AI model, breaking down complex concepts into simple and actionable steps. Key topics covered included:

• Basics of neural networks and deep learning. 

• Architectures such as GANs (Generative Adversarial Networks) and VAEs (Variational Autoencoders). 

• Hands-on demonstration of training a model using Python and popular AI frameworks like TensorFlow and PyTorch.

The workshop was highly interactive, with Mr. Singh addressing queries and encouraging students to experiment with building models during the practical sessions. Students were given real-world examples and project ideas to inspire further exploration in Generative AI.
