Workshop on "Business Model Canvas"
6th - 7th April 2023
Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), Ministry of Education (MoE) in collaboration with the Department of Management Studies, Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida organized a 2 day workshop on ‘Business Model Canvas’ on 6th - 7th April 2023.
The objective of the workshop was to make students learn how they can make promise and deliver the values to a particular customer segment for making position of the business in the market by utilizing the resources available in the best possible manner that sustains.
Dr. Sahab Singh, along with expert team members inspired the students of engineering and management by discussing, how an ordinary person can make an ideal & sustainable business model.
Session began with the welcome note by Professor (Dr.) Priya Satsangi (HOD-MBA, DGI Greater Noida). She greeted the guests and addressed the audience and motivated them towards entrepreneurship.
Day 1: Business Model Understanding
The first session of the workshop was moderated by the MBA students Mr. Shashwat Choudhary & Ms. Mitali Yadav & chaired by Dr. Satsangi.
Dr. Satsangi stressed upon, it is the right time to learn the thing that can help eliminate the vast unemployment problems for the sustainable development of Indian economy.
Dr. Sahab Singh, suggested some appropriate methods for the benefit of students to utilize the available resources effectively and efficiently through his robust presentation on Business Model Canvas and has shared a small journey of a great business leader FMCG industry.
Dr. Singh, stated there has been always a big gap between policies and practices. Policies are making a vital role in an economy, many policies are hanging around and many are not working. Also he said, so many business leaders are there in college youths to help society across the nation but result on ground level is not going to improve because they do not know whether the offered value proposition works.
Further he mentioned, a large stake of graduates seeks and depends on the jobs opportunities only in the other concerns due to adverse business effects which are really not acceptable.
He added, students need to bring the sets of problems together to discuss with experts and apply the modern technologies and multidisciplinary approaches in all the field of their specialization especially available with them.
Day 2: Hands_on Practice
Dr. Singh, made the session much attention-grabbing by delivering a talk on Value Proposition according to Customer Segments. He advocated, students are the “Hybrid Seed”, and can make a drastic change in the field if the seed quality improvement is done.
Also he pointed out a small step towards the goal that can bring the state-of-the-art facilities in the lives of common people.
In the end, the audience discussed several queries related to Business Model Canvassing and have made their own fantastic Business Models.
Dr. Satsangi, proposed note of thanks by saying “Think Big Before Doing Anything Small” and participants have shown their interest in the same with a big round of applauds.
