e-Yantra Symposium at IIT - Bombay
5th - 6th April 2023
e-Yantra is an unique platform provided by IIT Bombay to teach the students, faculty and researchers globally. Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida has joined the hands together with IIT Bombay and established the e-Yantra lab on 16th January, 2015. This year on 5th - 6th April, 2023 e-Yantra symposium was conducted which is attended by Prof. Sanghamitra V. Arora, (HOD, ECE) and Dr. Kaustubh Kumar Shukla (Asst. Professor, ECE)
Day-1 : 5th April 2023
e-Yantra symposium-2023 was started with inauguration function, in presence of eminent personalities of IIT Bombay and invitees from the well-known Educational Institutions, R& D as well as leading Industries. Next, Prof. Kavi Arya (Principal Investigator, e-Yantra, IIT Bombay) gave the present status and progress of e-Yantra.
Next, panel discussion on “The challenges of implementing NEP 2020” was there. Through the discussion difficulties of teaching, learning, research and autonomy system has been discussed and valuable suggestions on the same have been provided. Additionally some major points has been presented during first day of e-Yantra 2023; Innovation Challenge Business Pitch, Innovation Challenge-Exhibition, IITB Research presentations and Research meets e-Yantra College faculties, Design up: “Jab We Met-Design meets Engg.” by Amit Krishna Gulati, Algorithms for Strategic Laziness by Mr. Krish Ashok, Beyond Assumptions: A journey of Co-creations with small holder farmers, Creativity and the inner Critic by Ms. Nishita Mohta, Storytelling for the products by Ms.Tanvi Srivastava. The day was ended up with Stand-up comedy by Piyush Sharma – Alumini of IIT Bombay.
Day-2 : 6th April 2023
The session for day 2 was started with welcome speech by Prof. Siddhartha Ghosh, Dean (Educational Outreach). Next, the e-Yantra overview: Measuring the Josh on e-Yantra Campuses”, e-Yantra lab ranking was presented by Prof. Kavi Arya. Next, session was by Mr. Sudhansu Mani where he discussed “Lessons and messages from Vande Bharat Project”. Next, a panel discussion on “Building high-tech startups and role of e-Yantra labs in industry” has been done. After the discussion, poster presentation and exhibition was conducted. Thereafter, a talk was given by Dr. Rupesh Ghyar on “Taking ideas to products in MedTech-A BETIC Perspective”. Then, Mr. Vivek Pawar discussed “Model for building High-Tech Startups”.
Next, awards ceremony was conducted in that out of 10 exhibited projects, winner’s team has been awarded. Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida has also received a “letter of Appreciation” for the Top 15 Best Poster Presentation among several Engineering Colleges.. Next, Dr. Kaustubh Kumar Shukla has expressed his gratitude and positive feedback about the e-Yantra, and the several fruitful benefits of collaboration of IIT Bombay and Dronacharya Group of Institutions, through e-Yantra and e-LSI lab. At last Valedictory function has been conducted along with vote of thanks by e-Yantra team.
The concluding session was started with vote of thanks speech by Prof. Kavi Arya. He greeted everyone presented in the event, followed by expressing his gratitude to the guests. He presented a report on the entire happenings of two days. He shared words of encouragement with the students quoting the need to invest in improving the practical know-how of every engineering student apart from the theoretical knowledge they gain in the course of their study. He also gave tips to the faculty members to encourage their students so that students can participate in e-Yantra activities.
The e-Yantra Symposium provided an excellent platform for networking and exchanging ideas with peers and experts from various fields.
