Earth Day Celebration

NSS Unit, Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida celebrated “Earth Day” on 22nd April, 2023. The theme of the celebration was “Invest in Our Planet” 85 students participated in the celebration. The programme was coordinated by Mr. Gopal Singh (NSS Coordinator)
The celebration began with an enlightened speech by Dr. Ritu Soryan (Dean, Student Welfare). She made the students aware about the dire need to protect the planet Earth. She asked the students to be responsible citizens and have a sense of accountability towards each action performed by them towards nature. Student volunteers also took charge of the dais and presented their point of view on important issues like climate change, deforestation and pollution.
Then everyone moved towards the garden area and planted saplings. There were about 100 saplings that were planted inside and around the college campus. Lastly, everyone took pledge to plant one tree each every month.
