"AMITY YOUTH FEST 2016"

The Amity University, Noida organized 3-Day Annual Festival "AMITY YOUTH FEST 2016" from 18th - 20th February 2016. Students Tarun Sharma, Mohit Bais and Saurabh Jiwal from (Electronic & Communication) Department from Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida participated in the event.
The objective of the Amity Youth Fest (AYF'16) is to create an unparallel forum for the students comprising of all elements of experiential learning, to test their Intellectual and Artistic prowess.
Technical events organized in the fest were : legal Thesaurum, Best Manager, Mock Parliament , Eco-Auto Chase, Talent Hunt, Finance Resurrection, Lan - Gaming, Pixels(Journey Within ), Abhijna, Being Wall-E, Technocrats, Arc-Idea, Best out of waste, Ethical Hacking, Dramatico, Way to Healthy, HealthCare Quiz, Neurolola, Airshow, Deal or no deal, Ad-O-Dea , Crime Scene investigation, Travel Dart, Robo Times, Eco Quiz, Persona'16, Food Hackathon, Plant Evolution, Code Mania, Master Chef, Rhetorical Square .
Some of the Cultural events were also organized : Antaragini : Street Play, Aphesia: Battle of Bands, Swarmanthan: Solo Singing, Broadsway: stage play, Oscillations: Group Western dance, Nrityarsh: Solo Classical Dance, Rang-raise: Group Folk dance.
Students Tarun Sharma, Mohit Bais & Saurabh Jiwal from Dronacharya Group of institutions, Greater Noida, participated in the following events at Youth Festival 2016
1. ABHIJNA :
The event was conducted by Entrepreneurship Development Center, where participants have to make a short film covering Amity Youth Festival. ABHIJNA is short film on festival to be conducted for two days, which aims at promoting Film Making skills. The tracks for the films were Social, Commercial and Entertainment.
2. BEST OUT OF WASTE :
In the event, students have to prepare best daily use articles from the waste, with increasing solid waste and its difficult disposal . There is need to emphasize upon 3R's that are reuse, reduce, recycle. So by using solid waste to produce best items will yield in best result in reducing the waste. Participants need to carry their own raw waste material for the event.
3. AD-O-DEA :
The event focused on promoting start up ideas through advertisement. AD-O-DEA targets the participants' creativity, innovation and acting skills. The event was divided into five categories Social, Ecommerce, Food Sector, Travel and Networking. The contestants need to think about startup idea and prepare an advertisement accordingly. Judgment was on the basis of: Idea, Execution, Creativity, Time and Presentation.
The event was highly informative and provided enriching experience to the students. Students got an opportunity to compete, enjoy and meet different students.
