National Creativity Aptitude Test
20th February 2016
National Creativity Aptitude Test (NCAT) was held at Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida on February 20th 2016 under the aegis of International Forum for Excellence in Higher Education (IFEHE). The conduction of this test has been a regular yearly feature at DGIGN.
IFEHE started with a vision of contributing to the world of higher education by introducing a culture of continuous learning. IFEHE evaluates the best of the practices from all over the world, studies their scope of implementation in Indian scenario and helps in executing them by bringing the right kind of expertise.
How well an Individual solves the problem, determines his / her success and growth rate. Any organization can be IBM, Google or Facebook if it has people who are great problem solvers. NCAT is designed to sensitize the students to the domain of creative thinking and motivate them to read, learn and practice the same. This Olympiad is designed to assess a child's creative abilities and his/her achievement motivation.
The primary objectives of this test are: to sensitize the student, to appeal to his / her competitive spirit and to make him / her an achiever. NCAT may throw up a set of students who don’t seem to be the front - runners in the curricular subjects as creative geniuses and motivate them to sharpen their talent. A research by Edward De Beno and David Mc Clleland states that both creativity and achievement motivation can be significantly enhanced by appropriate interventions.
20 best performers amongst all disciplines were selected from the Final Year B.Tech Batch 2016 and they tested their skills on a National Platform. The final result of the first round will be declared by March 25th 2016 and all the selected students will undergo the final round in the month of June.
