IGATE Pre - Placement Preparatory Session

As a part of the college alumni interaction program, Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida, invited its alumni of B.Tech CSE Batch 2015 - P Sai Sheela to the college on August 26th, 2015. The purpose of this program was to strengthen the ties with dear alumni and also to have a 2 way interaction with the present batch.
P Sai Sheela was selected by IGATE (Taken over by Capgemini recently) last year. She is also one of the toppers and comes in the meritorious list of students. She visited the college in order to give her insights about the IGATE placement and also to prepare the students for the same.
The session started at 10:00 AM. This was kept a little less formal so that the students could interact better and have the knowledge exchanged. She started by sharing her own interview and the aptitude test experience. She explained the type of questions asked in the written test and also the ways to crack the same. She gave a brilliant piece of advice that one should always start from the section he/she is most comfortable in. She discussed the full question paper pattern.
Next she moved on to the Technical interviews part. She advised the students to be well equipped with the basics and fundamentals of the Engineering domain and revise them thoroughly. She explained the point that it is always good to give a try to the interviewers question but be honest with them if one is not sure of any concept. She told them to revise the basics of DBMS, C and C++.
The last point to be discussed was the HR interview. She stressed on the point that the HR is just to make the student feel comfortable with the working culture of the company and very seldom rejects any candidate.
In the last part of the session, the students cleared all their doubts and asked a series of questions to Sai.
This session will prove to be a very guiding force in the IGATE preparation scheduled shortly at Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida.
The event wrapped up with a memento presentation by Hon'ble Director - Dr. S. K. Bagga, DGI, Gr. Noida.
