Further they mentioned the top 3 mistakes done in the interview.
Mr. Mandeep Singh stated that the resume should always be on not more than 2 pages. The idea of the resume is to give a brief about the student but the interviewer only has 5 seconds to look at it. Right spacing, short bullets accomplishments should be mentioned appropriately. He further stated that the resume should always reflect the internships and additional experience.
Mr. Mandeep Singh advised that the corporate culture is very different to the college life and hence a person needs to adjust and change himself accordingly and behave maturely. The ideal way to behave is by doing the following things:-
1. Introduce yourself to everyone you meet on the day 1 in the organization.
2. Greeting should be conveyed to all the people met.
3. The handshake should be firm and not too aggressive
4. The telephone etiquettes should be adhered to properly.
Mr. Vardhan Morpana tried to explain the students the gap between the existing knowledge of the students and the industry demands. He stressed on the fact that there should be 360' approach of self-development which includes academic, personality and ethics too.
Post this Training of Soft skills and PD, he asked some of the students to come in the fore front and gave them topics to talk extempore. The students came forth and presented their views. He also made the students solve the TCS and other aptitude questions.
At the end of the session, they put the session open for all the students to ask questions and raise their opinions which the students very actively did.
The event ended with a Vote of Thanks for our Hon'ble Director - Dr. S K Bagga.
