Visit to "27th National Youth Festival"
At Nasik, Maharashtra
12th - 16th January 2024
NSS Unit, Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida organized a visit to “National Youth Festival- Nasik, Maharashtra” from 12th - 16th January, 2024. Four NSS student volunteers Amit Kumar Kuswaha (2nd year, ECZ - Roll No-17555), Teena Khorwal (2nd year, ECE - Roll No. - 17458), Garima Verma (2nd year, CSE - Roll No. - 17066), and Ankit Yadav (2nd year, IT - Roll No. - 17341) along with (NSS Program Officer) attended the 5-day “National Youth Festival” organized and sponsored by Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Govt of India, NSS Regional Centre, Maharashtra.
The festival took place at Nashik, where history whispered in the echoes of Ramayana and modernity thrives in bustling markets, ignite spirit and chart a course for Viksit Bharat@ 2047: For the Youth, By the Youth.’ The aim of the festival was to enable the interaction of youths with experts in the fields of Art and culture, Sports and wellness, Entrepreneurship, Technology and Sustainability.
Throughout the year across the nation, five themes echoed-from entrepreneurial fervour to millet marvels, cultural symphonies to scientific brilliance, and the green heartbeat of Mission Life. Competitive and Non-competitive activities organized by states at district and state level. My Bharat portal amplified every click as voice of vibrant India.
Day 1 - (12th January, 2024)
Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi inaugurated National Youth Festival on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekanand. PM recommended that the youth should take lessons from Swami Vivekananda to move ahead in life. Ms. Neeti Mohan graced the occasion with melodious singing at the cultural night.
Day 2 – (13th January, 2024)
On the second day, the students attended the Suvichar program that took place at Mahayuva Gram Hanuman Nagar, with Mr. Nitesh Kumar Mishra, Joint Secretary of the Central Youth and Sports Ministry, presiding over the event graced the occasion as the chief guest, along with the presence of Maharashtra's Sports Commissioner, Dr. Suhas Divese. The motivational speakers Mr. Vilas Shinde (Chairman of Sahyadri Farm) and Prateek Khandelwal (Chairman of RampMyCity) engaged in the discussion with youth. They motivated youth for not giving up for any adversities. The DGI students attended the course and earned certificate as well. The State Bus Band performed at the cultural night.
Day 3 – (14th January, 2024)
The students attended food festival on 3rd day of the festival. The festival witnessed stalls of food from various states of India. The students also had the opportunity to attend Yuva Kriti which featured 90 stalls with works from handcrafted crafts, ideas for sustainable development. Everybody attended the cultural night by DJ Aalya.
Day 4 – (15th January, 2024)
Mr. Rahul Bose motivated the youth on day 4 of the festival. The day also witnessed folk, group and solo dances of different states. They also attended the Maharashtra youth expo. Mr. Zuber Hasmi performed at the Cultural night.
Day 5 – (16th January 2024)
On the closing ceremony, prizes were given to the participants and community awardee in recognition for their social work. Every participant also received certificates.
Overall, students gained knowledge of diverse fields ranging from technology advancements, to societal challenges. The students also had great networking opportunities, skill development and chance to participate in various activities.
