VISIT TO CENTRE FOR E-GOVERNENCE

CSI Student Chapter, Dronacharya Group of Institution (DGI)- Greater Noida organized a visit to Centre for e-Governance (CeG), Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), New Delhi on 22nd September, 2017 . Forty three students of APS Department and Eleven students of MBA along with Faculty members Ms. Monika Sinha and Ms. Garima, Assistant Professors, Department of Management Studies and Dr. S.K Srivastava, Professor, Department of Applied Science and Humanities visited CeG.
Mr. Sunil Kumar, Project Manager at Centre for E-Governance welcomed the students and briefed them about the Centre for E-Governance with the help of presentation. He informed about the initiative taken by Honourable Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi about “Digital India”, to make a paperless country.
Mr. Sunil Kumar asked various questions to students about E-Governance and Digital India and gave them assignments to convert paper file system into digital system. He informed the students about various initiatives taken by government, e–Aadhaar, e-KYC, Jeevan Parman, Mobile Seva, MyGov, Open Data, etaal, e-Office, e-Sanjeevani etc. Mr. Sunil Kumar said that the Centre is open for visit by common citizens, students, strategists and experts in the field of governance and also to the policy-makers as well. Visitors to the Centre have a first hand information on various e-Governance initiatives in the country and hands-on experience on the web-enabled e-services being delivered in various parts of the country.
An online quiz was also conducted at the end of the demonstration of the understanding of e-governance projects. Ms Nupur Panigrahi received First Prize and Mr. Om Prakesh received Second Prize from B. Tech and Ms Shally Yadav received Third Prize from MBA in the quiz competition.
The visit was a great learning experience for the students as they learned about the various initiatives of government to make a Digital and Paperless India.
