Workshop on “Introduction to Cryptography”

A Workshop on “Introduction to Cryptography" was organized by Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida on 13 September 2017 for First Semester students. The Workshop was organised in association with DGI-IEEE Student Chapter. Prof. (Dr.) Rajendra Kumar Sharma, Department of Mathematics, IIT Delhi conducted the Workshop.
The session started with the welcome of Prof. (Dr.) Rajendra Kumar Sharma, by Prof. Asish Soti, Director- Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida.
Prof. Sharma commenced the lecture the basic introduction of Cryptography. He discussed how cryptography is related to Mathematics as well as various fields of Engineering specifically Computer Science. He said that Cryptography is used to convert plaintext into ciphertext and vice-versa. This is known as Encryption and Decryption.
Prof. Sharma made the session interactive with Quizzes and Puzzles. He also explained the concept of ciphers and modulars.
The Workshop concluded with the Vote of Thanks by Dr. Mamta Tomar, Associate Professor, Department of Applied Sciences & Humanities.
