Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed students across the nation from Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi on Monday, 11th September 2017. The live session was organized by Dronacharya Group of institutions, Greater Noida through ICT, which was attended by students & staffs.
Speaking at the event, Prime Minister Narendra Modi stressed on his Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan. Addressing the event, PM Modi said that Indians do not have the right to chant Vande Mataram if they go on to spit pan and throw garbage on roads. He further added that those who clean the roads and surroundings have the first right in the country.
Speaking about Swami Vivekanada’s address in Chicago on 11 September, 1983, PM Modi said people in India remember 9/11 of 1893. Just with a few words, a youngster from India won over the world and showed the world the power of oneness, the Prime Minister said.
The focus of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s speech was largely on his clean India mission. PM Modi said India is standing at a global stage due to the people power. “India is changing, India’s standing at the global stage is rising and this is due to Jan Shakti,” he said.
Prime Minister asked students to stop being afraid of failures. He said that no one in this world has succeeded without failures. He further said knowledge and skills are equally important. He said that people in the country should be job-creators and not job-seekers.
He further went on to ask the youths to respect women. He said those who do not respect women need to think about the teachings of Swami Vivekananda. “The word of Swami Vivekananda My Brothers & Sisters gave the world the message of Universal Brotherhood,” the Prime Minister said.
Addressing the event, Culture Minister Mahesh Sharma spoke about Swami Vivekananda’s achievements.
Sports Minister, Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore proposed the Vote of Thanks.
