“Innovision-2017” Project & Poster Exhibition

Project & Poster Exhibition “Innovision-2017” was organized at DGI, Greater Noida on 16 Sep, 2017 by DGI: Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC), wherein all branches namely ME, CE, ECE, EEE, CSE / IT and MBA participated. Participation for Project Exhibition was open for students of V and VII sem and Poster Exhibition for students of I and III sem.
The primary aim of the event was to create an eco-system for motivating students towards innovation and creativity. Emphasis was given on interdisciplinary projects leading to technology diffusion.
Following dignitaries graced the occasion as Guests of Honor:
- Dr.R.Radhakrishnan - Social Entrepreneur
- Dr. J. P. Kesri - Professor, Delhi Technological University, New Delhi
- Mr. A.K.Ojha - Asst. Director, MSME, New Delhi
- Mr. Akesh Pandita - Executive Director, Silver Arrows - Mercedes Benz
Dr. Ashish Soti, Director, Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida welcomed the guests and addressed the students on importance of projects and business plans. He said that Engineers have to be application oriented and for this workmanship and hands on job is of utmost importance. Stress was laid on original thinking for simple systems to be developed for the benefit of social cause and community welfare.
Prof. TPN Singh, Advisor (R&D) thanked the dignitaries for their presence despite having busy schedule. Students were advised to prepare themselves for willingness to take risks and have the ability to tolerate ambiguities and uncertainties in their journey towards entrepreneurship. Opportunity recognition was stressed for being successful. He rendered a brief description of the projects and posters on display and exhorted the students to excel in the areas of innovation and creativity.
Dr. J.P.Kesari appreciated the efforts put in by the students and advised them to be creative and productive to be successful in engineering profession. He spoke at length on solar energy systems and his experiences abroad.
The evaluation committee consisted of four teams headed by Mr.Akesh Pandita, Dr. R. Radhakrisnan, Dr. J.P. Kesari and Mr. A.K. Ojha. A total of 39 projects and 15 posters were on display by the departments as per the details given below:

The projects and posters were evaluated by the concerned team in terms of innovativeness, content, societal value, commercial aspect and future scope.
